 City of Santa Cruz Parks & Recreation is bringing the fun to you with the following FREE activities! 

 Agents of Discovery

Discover and learn while exploring your local park through the Agents of Discovery app. Missions will be set up at three different neighbor parks highlighting local flora and fauna as well as environmental steward information. The Agents of Discovery app is free to download and use, no login required. Finishing off the month with Westlake and Ocean View Parks! 

Teen Center - Design Your Own Swag! -Deadline July 31

Put your own spin on this plain white T-shirt or pair of kicks! Show us your creativity and personal style by designing your own swag. Teens can share their fashion masterpiece on Instagram @scteencenter using #Julyistcedition  #Julyisparksandrec

Historical Park Tours with Ross Gibson

Join local historian Ross Gibson virtually as he shares the history of a few of our City’s beautiful parks. Tours will be released on social media and added to this page throughout July.

Virtual Tree Walk and Pollinator Tour

Head to the Parks & Recreation Youtube channel to follow Leslie Keedy, Parks and Recreation Urban Foresters, as she shows us these unique trees and plants. Explore some of the plants at Neary Lagoon and how they attract pollinators with Spencer Klinefelter from the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History. 

Virtual Fireworks
