30th Anniversary Celebration of Alushta Sister City

  • Introduction: Join us to celebrate 30 years of our Sister City relationship with Alushta, Crimea!
Join us to meet and talk with our friends in our sister city of Alushta, Crimea in celebration of our thirtieth year as Sister Cities. Several computers using Skype will be set up at the Santa Cruz Police Community Room, 155 Center Street, beginning at 10:30 a.m. to talk with the present Mayor Galina Ogneva, the former Mayor Stanislav Kolot and several of our longtime friends who have kept the program alive during the past thirty years. In addition, we will have an exhibit of memorabilia collected from Alushta as well as a discussion on present plans and programs between the two cities. Light refreshment will be served. The morning program will conclude with a short annual meeting of support.
